GOAL 6. Build capability

Supporting ourselves and each other through legal problems requires us all to increase our legal capability.

Justice sector organizations focus on building legal capability in young people, giving them the tools to navigate life’s challenges. We empower community members and trusted intermediaries like faith leaders, social workers and nurses to support dialogue about legal problems. We ensure that legal professionals stay current and expert.

2022 Progress

In 2022, A2J legal education for students focused on neurodiversity, systemic racism, engagement with police, and participation in justice systems. The legal community targeted education on sexual harassment and assault, anti-oppressive practices, cultural competency, and gender diversity.
